Anthony B Is Out The Hospital, In Good Health

Reggae star Anthony B was discharged from a Texas hospital on
Wednesday (October 10) after a few days of treatment for a sudden
illness.According to reports, the “Raid The Barn” singer collapse on stage during a performance last weekend at a nightclub in Dallas. He was rushed to the Methodist Dallas Medical Centre.
Anthony B’s publicist, Ronnie Tomlinson, told the Observer that he was suffering from exhaustion and dehydration.
“He is now resting and drinking lots of fluids, as per doctors orders,” Tomlinson said.
Anthony B also thank his fans for their overwhelming support in a short statement.
“Thanks to all my fans who said a prayer for the I,” Anthony B said.

Reggae Star Captain Barkey Shot Dead In New York

Reggae music is mourning the loss of one of its own today.Captain Barkey, born Wayne Hamilton, and his girlfriend were shot dead in the Bronx yesterday.
According to the NY Post, the female, 38-year-old Tracy Bennett, ex-lover ambushed the two after they stepped out of a Bronx Motel around 3:10 a.m.
The gun man pumped several shots in Hamilton, killing him on the spot before chasing down Bennett to the back of the motel and shot her dead.
“Please, no!” the woman begged for her life before several shots rang out.
“I heard [her] plead for [her] life and then heard gunshots,” “She was begging,” Keshia Barrett, who was staying at the motel, said.
Bennett reportedly had a restraining order against the shooter before the incident.
Captain Barkey started out deejaying on Spanish Town based sound systems People’s Choice and Stereo One before getting his big break in dancehall.
In the mid 1990s her scored two major hits “Go Go Wine,” and “Bun Fi Bun.”
He later teamed up with dancehall veteran Wickerman to form the duo Captain Barkey and Wickerman. The duo released several hits in the mid to late 90s.
“He was a jovial guy. Barkey made you laugh on any given day, even when you’re down,” Wickerman told the Observer.

Did Mr. Vegas Contracted STD From Cheating Baby Mama?
According to some text message transcripts sent to Urban Islandz inbox, the “Bruk It Down” deejay may have contracted an STD from his baby mother Shellian.
Our ever so reliable source close to Mr. Vegas told us that the deejay did in fact get shot, however, she accused him of giving her the STD.
“There are a lot of things Vegas don’t put out there in the public despite being hurt so bad,” the source said. “A lot of people are talking trash and don’t know the facts and don’t know who Shellian really is. The fact is she is a heartless and cold individual, so all those people backing her and don’t really know her need to shut up.”
“She going around having unprotected sex with man and when disease pop up she blame Vegas say a him a give her bun with other woman,” the source added.

The video was which directed by Leftside’s go to video producer Chris “Icey Jace” Campbell of Icey Jace Film Factory features a host of video girls performing jaw dropping dance routines to the catchy girls anthem track which is sure to blaze radio airwaves both locally and internationally.
Leftside who was caught in a media frenzy this summer after a music video for his “Clap Dat” single caused public outcry has hit back at his critics with a slew of new music including “Bubble For Me”, “Lightning & Thunder”, “Johnny Bravo” and “Want Yuh Body Remix” ft. Sean Paul for which a video is also on the way.

Anthony B Hospitalized After Collapsing On Stage
According to reports, Anthony B was not feeling well from in the day but still decided to perform at a show he was booked for at a popular nightclub in Dallas. His illness got worse while performing which lead to his collapse.
He was rushed to the Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Texas early Saturday morning where he was listed in stable condition.
The singer’s publicist, Ronnie Tomlinson, confirmed the news, but say there is yet to be an official diagnostic from doctors. Tomlinson says the singer might have been suffering from dehydration and exhaustion due to a hectic schedule for his Freedom Fighters World Tour.
Several of his upcoming tour dates were cancelled as a result of his health concerns.

Bow Wow Broke, Ordered To Pay Child Support, Beind Chased By Creditors
That’s the question everyone have been asking of late. The Cash Money rapper is behind with his child support payments and is being chased by numerous creditors including a Ferrari dealer who claims the rapper owe $283,785 for a lease 2005 Ferrari F430.
According to TMZ, Bow Wow told a judge that he fell behind in his child support payments because he only make $4,000 a month working for Cash Money. The rapper’s lawyer also told the judge that he currently have $1500 in his bank account.
However, Bow Wow could find himself in more legal troubles since he reportedly failed to tell the judge that he recently picked up a hosting gig on BET’s 106 & Park.

Sean Paul’s collaboration with Beyonce on the chart topping single “Baby Boy” sent the rumor mill into a frenzy back in 2003 that the two were dating.
What made the rumors even more believable was the fact that Jay-Z bared the dancehall superstar from performing the single with Beyonce on the MTV Video Music Awards.

“My album Soothing Sounds: Acoustic is completely produced by me and is a personal, close-to-the-heart production,” reveals Spice. “It took approximately nine months of non-stop work to complete it. Nas serves up the highly anticipated video for his single “Cherry Wine,” featuring the late British singer Amy Winehouse, off his number one album Life Is Good. The video was directed by Jay Martin.Nas is gearing up to ring in the new year with a concert at Radio City Music Hall in his hometown of New York City.

With velocity-sensitive performance pads, a four-channel standalone hardware mixer and a slip mode borrowed from Pioneer’s CDJs, the controller is a high-end model, in Vestax VCI-400 territory, with visual elements and build quality also reminiscent of the Numark NS6.
Features we know about
We don’t know every detail (we don’t know price, for instance), but we do know the following features:- Performance pads. Similar to the Novation TWITCH and the Vestax VCI-380 (and velocity-sensitive, like the latter), the controller’s performance pads will control samples, cues, loop rolls and a slicer, and like with the Traktor Kontrol S4, they push the jogs back up the controller
- “Dual Deck” mode. This will apparently let you link two decks (ie A&C, B&D) and manipulate them as one
- 4-channel standalone hardware mixer. Like the Vestax VCI-400 (finally), the unit will also work as an analogue mixer
- Slip mode. Slip mode lets you manipulate the track (scratching, looping, triggering cue points), then when you exit slip mode, the track will continue where it would have been before you began. It’s a popular feature on CDJs from Pioneer and Denon
- Other high-end features. Fader start, dedicated
filter knobs and large platters point to this being very much a pro
controller, that ought to appeal to those playing out as much as bedroom
